The Fellowship Programme is a training programme for seasoned professionals who have distinguished themselves in their respective fields and who are interested in practising arbitration as Fellows of the Nigerian Institute. They must also have carved out a niche for themselves in arbitration and other forms of ADR.
It is a seven-day training program on arbitration and other forms of ADRs. Divided into Module 1 and Module 2. Module 1 is a four-day theoretical training session, and Module 2 is a three-day practical training session.
This training program covers the fundamentals of award writing and equips participants with skills for analysing submissions, evaluating them, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, and drawing conclusions in arbitral awards. It provides them with the opportunity to acquire international best-practice mechanisms for arbitration and ADR in other jurisdictions through a comparative study of these practices/procedures.
